i definitely agree with josie. i'm 5'8" and at 100 lbs i was incredibly sick with a body mass index of 15.2 (a body mass index of 18.5-25 is considered healthy). i too was told i was a candidate for heart failure. being 5'6" and below 100 lbs would suggest that she has a bmi of under 16. obviously this is quite underweight and not simply "on the brink of anorexia". i am not sure of the motivation of claiming this, but readers should know that the state she has described is incredibly unhealthy.

I have not read her book, but it really bothers me that she said she was never "severe" with her weight being under 100 pounds. I'm also 5'6" and when my lowest weight was 93 I was told I was going to die. My heart was failing and by bones thinning. Yes, I know there are far more "severe" anorexics out there, than myself. But at that weight, it was still very severe and I think it's unprofessional to downplay the physical symptoms as such an unhealthy weight like she did.
